Dear Zumbro friends and customers,

We want to thank you for your support over the years. It’s hard to believe we were in Linden Hills for over thirty years, starting from our original twelve seat deli on Upton Avenue and growing into the Zumbro Cafe around the corner. During that time we so enjoyed being part of the Linden Hills and south Minneapolis community. Over the years we served more breakfasts, brunches, and lunches than we could count, and we enjoyed watching your families grow along with our own.

It was with great sadness that we announced the closing of the Cafe at the end of December 2023. But this closing marked a new chapter for us, not an end. Since then we’ve taken time to regroup and dream of new ideas and projects. We’re working on a new space across the lake in the Tangletown neighborhood that we call the Zumbro Studio 322.
